I want to share with you right I what I have read this morning on the ODB Volume 14, April 29 Devotional Text.
2 Samuel 12:1:13 And the Lord sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor. The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds: But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him. And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
I think all of you are already familiar with this text, this is when David Sinned Adultery with the Wife of Uriah the Hittite which one of his close friends and loyal Soldier that he let it killed in the battle by letting Uriah put in the front line of the battle so that he can marry his wife “Bathsheba” which was already pregnant but later on this baby died and after this baby did “King Solomon” was conceived. Okay enough of my own opinion.
Here’s the text I have in the ODB this morning. 🙂 Hope you will be blessed by this message.
Orbiting our planet at speeds more than 4.5 miles per second is a growing collection of space junk. Nuts, Bolts, and other discarded debris from the space flights are presenting a real hazard to future spacecraft. Their sheer speed makes the tiniest object strike with the impact of a bullet. During one of the shuttle missions, speck of paint created a pit a quarter inch inside wide in a window of a craft.
One study revealed that there are 110,000 objects larger than 1cm in orbit. Their combined weight is 4 million pounds! To avoid a space junk disaster, the US Space Command monitors orbiting debris for NASA.
Sinful choices create their own kind of junk, unintended consequences. When Achan stole and hid forbidden booty, it cost him his life.
Joshua 7 “But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel.”continue reading…

Do you have any “junk” in your life? Sin’s consequences have a way of accumulating . When we confess our sins to God, He promises to forgive and cleanse us.
I John 1:9“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
For those we have hurt, we can seek ways of righting wrongs through restitution.

What a shame can overwhelm the soul
Because we’ve chosen paths of sin!
But if we humbly call on God,
He’ll grant anew His peace within

The law of sowing and reaping has never been repealed.
Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
